Often referred to as the first family of Branson, the Shoji Tabuchi show brings singing, dancing and violin playing to the stage. Shoji, his wife Dorothy, and their daughter Christina, along with many others, light up the stage with everything from country to classical music.

Dorothy, along with a world-renown choreographer, ensure that the dance routines are creative and thrilling. They are accompanied by gifted vocalists who bring the dancing and violin playing together in an amazing and awe-inspiring performance.

Born in Osaka, Japan, Shoji learned to play the violin at an early age and vowed to one day make it to America. The Taiko drums, a recent addition to the ensemble, bring a bit of Shoji’s native land to the show. The drums were originally used on the battlefield to intimidate the enemy. It was also a way to define the territory limits as the boundaries were determined by how far the sound of the drums could be heard.

The Shoji Tabuchi Show is playing now through December 13th at the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre in Branson, Missouri. The Theater, referred to as the “Showplace of Branson” is a sight to see in itself. Modeled after grand palaces in the 1930′s, the theater boasts fine details that have wowed visitors over and over. The theater’s restrooms are included in this architectural masterpiece and even feature wainscoting in the elegant ladies’ room and a billiards table in the mens’ room.

The beautiful dance routines, brilliant vocalists and intriguing instruments make this a must see for the entire family.
